With this frustrating economy, why not step out of reality for a bit and into the world of Watchmen. The latest installment to a growing list of superhero movies turns the genre on its head, much like the comic the movie was based on. It centers around the “real” lives of superheros and explains that even heroes make mistakes.
The movie delivers with excellent visuals and inspiring effects. The twisted narrative fully develops each character without resorting to the typical linear development. The story and script are excellent with some memorable quotes such as, “The world will look up and shout “Save us!”… And I’ll whisper “No.” I never read the comic so my review is based on just what I saw. I’d be interested to hear what avid readers have to say.
