Some of our artists created this animation a few years ago to tell the legend of the Chinese Moon Festival, being celebrated today in Chinese culture. The animation uses 2D illustrated panels arranged in 3D space in Maya. The voice is by a famous Chinese storyteller; while she struggles with her English, we still felt it added to the authenticity of the story. Chinese Moon Festival is likened to Thanksgiving in American culture. It is a family gathering that often involves the gifting and serving of a moon cake.
